I use this theme on my wordpress but the images of posts in homepage don’t appear ( and author image ok appear well and bg.jpg)
but for post images don’t appear

Hai. First make sure your hosting allow timthumb usage. Please ask them to put your domain on modsec whitelist.

When using this theme, I notice images do not appear when visiting category pages, but text only… Is it possible to display a (thumbnail) image in the category page?

Yes. You can open the archive.php and uncomment the thumbnail code to use it.
