Your ECOBOX is a great wordpress them. I love of all your features in ECOBOX. But I cannot optimize Content Slider feature. Can you give me advice??
Hai Johan, I’m glad that you like Ecobox theme. I’m not really sure about what you meant by optimizing the featured content slider..
If you’re asking about how to enable it, you just have to set it up inside the theme option, enable and choose post to feature by Post ID.
There’s an example where you can find your post id in the featured slider setting box.

But nothing to see!! Can you give more advice??
Hai Johan. Don’t put the whole url link on the setting box, you just need to enter (in your case) 41,31,20,3. Only put the post id on it. Please try it out and let me know the result. Thanks.

I tried to make posts appear on slide show through post id like p=7,p=3 still npthing to see…can you explain me wots wrong??
Hai. Did you put the exact “p=7,p=3” in the featured content box setting? If yes, you’re setting it wrong, please only put number on the setting box. i.e 7,3 and save it. You can find the post id by following the example I’ve shown in its setting box.

Featured Footer Settings
Ok. If you’re setting up the featured footer, you can’t use Post ID for it. Please use Cat ID for it because featured footer will query latest posts by category only. The 7,3 you said before are Post ID which can only be on featured slider.
Please try setup the featured footer using category id. You can easily find the Cat ID by refer to the example on the featured footer settings box. Thanks.

OK. The category heading is only for you to insert the category name. i.e your category 16 is VPN, then you just need to enter ‘VPN’ or any title name you prefer on it, don’t insert url on it. After that, you can setup how many post to show on VPN category for the footer featured.
Finally, make sure you have enable the footer featured inside the theme options. Theme Options > Featured Footer Settings > Enable Featured Footer On Homepage? Choose Yes and save it.
Please try it again and let me know the results. Thanks.

Please don’t modified the footer in any ways. Try replacing your index.php, functions.php and footer.php with the default. I see that you have modified some of layout for your homepage, please backup the files you have modified before replacing them. Some of the codes may have been missing before. So, I suggest we try from the beginning.
1. backup your current index.php, functions.php and footer.php
2. download the ecobox theme or if you have the default/original files on your computer, please reupload and overwrite the 3 php files mentioned above.
3. Now, go to the theme options again and set up the footer featured category to see if it’s working.
Please try it out and if it still not working please download your ecobox theme folder, zip it and email me rksy81[at]yahoo[dot]com the files so that I can take a look at the codes inside. Thanks.

i try to add a second text widget at the end of the left or the right sidebar but everytime the text widget appears on the wrong place.. the same thing happens when i try to place a text widget between the other widgets.. any idea..?
Please make sure that you put a title for the text widget or else the widget code will not work properly.

I had to gave up magloss theme and using Ecobox but having difficulty with featured video in the footer.i have used youtube video code through theme option but video is not appearing can please check and let me know what i am doing wrong.

Hai Raja. Based on your youtube video, you just need to enter “Y3wHx4NLHzE” inside the video box setting and save it. Anyway, your video embed looks fine with your manual insert. Remember to put the default video php code back if you want to control it via theme options. Please let me know if you need more help. Thanks.
Hi Roland, i have edited the footer links, 🙁 now my site is not working, and i have edited them , i set them to default , uploaded template again, but again don’t work, maybe my domain is black listed for that theme, pls my domain is www.gegajt.com

We don’t blacklist domain. Please try deleting the whole Ecobox theme folder, go to your theme admin, setup theme to use the kubrick to clear up any misconfig and upload the default Ecobox version again (download from main theme page) to restore its access. Then, go to theme admin again to activate the theme.Maybe some of php files other than the footer.php are corrupted before.

To start off I’d just like to say that the skill you have with designing/creating themes is fantastic!
I am still busy working on my website (it’s not up yet) and so have still been deciding on a theme (Magpress has been the Number 1 place for this).
I think I have finally decided to use the EcoBox theme to start off with but i would like to change most colours (theme background, widget box backgrounds, button colours etc.)…
Would you be able to give me a quick breakdown of exactly which files I’ll need to edit and which parts?

Please open the header.php and delete the php code within div id topads. Then insert your own banner html code inside it again.

widget box background > style.css > .sidebox
rounded button color > unfortunately the button color is not changeable via css
content background > style.css > #mainbox
post block background > style.css > .post-meta
Basically, almost all the colors except the glossy black and green bars are changeable by editing its style.css.

For some reason I cant load a picture in the header. Here is the pic I’m using http://www.bigchicosmovies.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/LOGO.png. I comes up a broken pic.
Did you choose Yes to use custom logo on theme options?
