Wow thanks for the Blue theme ( I did a request on)
I read the post on the setting of the thumbnail and featured and went to readme file And applied what was there in the post area.
When I first got the theme I did not know about the readme file so I went and looked up tim script and read to set permissions
I must of screwed them up and I don’t rem what the permission were for the tim Script. What do I change them back to.
I changed the script file to 777 and I changed the cache file also, I don’t know what to change them back to. please help.
What happen is when I did a regular RSS post. it did not pull an image from original post. The photo I got on my blog is the photo that is on your theme demos with the 3 people in it.
Can you please tell me how to fix this
Thanks Jill
The original Timthumb script can’t pull external images but the one in this theme is a modified beta version, try opening the timthumb.php, scroll down below until you see “$allowedSites” on line 584, try adding “ecx.images-amazon.com” inside the function. Also create a new folder name “temp” inside the scripts folder of this theme.
Please try it out and let me know how it goes. Thanks.
I have updated to the freshbox theme for the blue so now my permissions are correct. (the question I had in the above post.)
On new theme for some reason the slider images are not showing. They were showing on the rednose theme I was using.
The titles on theme don’t look quite right. Maybe if you look at it, you can tell me whats happening.
Most of my post are auto so maybe I cant use the features with thumbnails, because It would take to much time to add the 3 items in the readme file to each post.
Thanks
You can adjust the text size of the slider’s title and post content in gallery.css inside the css folder. Edit the font size to suit your needs on .jdGallery .slideInfoZone h3 and .jdGallery .slideInfoZone p.
You only need 1 large image for all the 3 custom field value, don’t have to manual crop all different sizes of image for each custom field.
Thanks for getting back with me, I’m working on your suggestions and also doing the temp folder in case I go back to the rednose theme.
I like the rednose better because the sidebars look neater to me with the borders. As far as the Fresh theme I like it because the header is not so big and the menu bar shows all of my categorys which the rednose does not. The rednose only shows all menus if the page is full screen.
I used this theme successfully before. Upon upgrading wordpress, the timthumb works when I choose “No”, and no autothumbnails on the featured wedget. Any solution please? Thank you Ronald
