I’m not able to see the pictures on the categories and also in the post in main page. Could you please let me know the reason?

Hai. You have to manually setup the post thumbnails. When in post edit mode, look for bottom right corner where ‘featured images’ located, click it and choose image for thumbnail. Alternatively, you can try using this plugin to auto generate the thumbnails:
