Hello,
Thanks for sharing such a well researched and informative article about WordPress theme. So many people specially, new blogger are always facing difficulties to choose right theme for his/her blog. But after reading this article they immediately get solution.
nice theme.. i have been using this in my edu news site for 4 months.. my site is ranking on google
How can I add posts to a section “More Featured Articles” on home page??
actually using wp-admin->customizer->theme options->posts->choose featured post for homepage, you can add max 20 post is. it will show 6 on top page and 14 on bottom page. isn’t that enough?
if you want more, open templates/home-feat-post-bottom.php edit
query_posts( array( 'post_type'=> $allposttype, 'post__in' => explode(',', $home_feat), 'posts_per_page' => 20, 'ignore_sticky_posts' => 1, 'offset' => 6, 'orderby' => 'post__in' ) );
edit posts_per_page to your own max posts.
Thank you, now I understand! I just did not add more than 6 posts 🙂
How can I show 2 posts on top page and rest posts on bottom?
open templates/home-feat-post.php edit
query_posts( array( ‘post_type’=> $allposttype, ‘post__in’ => explode(‘,’, $home_feat), ‘posts_per_page’ => 6, ‘ignore_sticky_posts’ => 1, ‘orderby’ => ‘post__in’ ) );
edit posts_per_page to 2.
and remember also edit /templates/home-feat-post-bottom.php
query_posts( array( ‘post_type’=> $allposttype, ‘post__in’ => explode(‘,’, $home_feat), ‘posts_per_page’ => 20, ‘ignore_sticky_posts’ => 1, ‘offset’ => 6, ‘orderby’ => ‘post__in’ ) );
offset to 2
so the post query did not repeat top post.
Thank you for the tips.
It’s a perfect theme!
